Luben Glass has signed an important exclusive agreement for the supply of cooling towers and cooling systems of French company Jacir. For over 60 years, Jacir has combined its experience in aeraulics, thermodynamics and building materials to offer an extremely wide range of cooling towers. The TOPAZ product is of absolute importance: its adiabatic technology completely eliminates any Legionella risk
TOPAZ NEO range
The TOPAZ NEO adiabatic cooler is a dry cooler with an adiabatic pre-cooling section: this pre-cooling section lowers the ambient air temperature through water evaporation. Specifically, the water is passed over the cooling / humidifying pads that have been specially designed for this purpose.
Dry mode: The fluid is cooled in the dry battery by the ambient air flow. Ambient air is drawn in through the coils by fans mounted centrally on the top of the cooler; the humidification pads are located in front of the coils and thus they are not wet by water (which is therefore not used). The speed of the fans is controlled by an inverter according to the thermal load so as to maintain the fluid outlet temperature. The hot air is then evacuated upwards. Adiabatic mode: When the cooling in dry mode is not sufficient and the room temperature reaches the configured setpoint, the humidification pads are wet by a flow of water that is sprinkled through a perforated channel located in the upper part. In this way, there is no water atomisation. The ambient air is cooled by evaporation when, sucked in by the fans, it passes through the pads thus cooling the coils. The water that does not evaporate from the pads is collected in a stainless steel manifold to be re-circulated by the pump. The water saving is therefore significant and does not require any water treatment. This system is certified against the formation of the LEGIONELLA bacterium and allows huge savings with regard to water and electric current.
